St Gregory’s Fellowship April 2025

Since the last APCM, St Gregory’s Fellowship Group have enjoyed many interesting and varied meetings and outings. These included

  • Visiting the Air Ambulance Base at Earls Colne and playing Adventure Golf at Old Joes; followed of course by tea and cake!
  • Homemade Afternoon Tea at Painters @ the Angel
  • Christmas Lunch at The Brewers Arms
  • We’ve also had illustrated talks on ‘The Community Wardens’, ‘The Camino de Santiago Walk’, ‘Coco Chanel’ and ‘When the Suffolk Show was in Sudbury’ plus a Christmas Quiz afternoon.

By the time you read this our 2025 Programme will be underway. So far this year we’ve had:

  • Illustrated talks on ‘Harry Turner - Sudbury’s modest benefactor’, ‘Waterstones Books’, and ‘The History of Perrywood’.

Still to look forward to are:

  • A visit to Ashley Cooper’s Hill Farm, Gestingthorpe, and a River Stour Trust Boat Trip and stopover for refreshments.
  • Summer Afternoon Tea and Christmas Lunch
  • Illustrated talks on ‘The Storehouse Foodbank’, ‘Abi’s Footprints Baby Bank’ and a Musical afternoon.

Well done again Irene, for finding such varied and fascinating items for our Programme.

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at the Christopher Centre, Friars Street commencing at 2.30pm. A subscription of £3.50 per person is payable for each meeting, which includes tea/coffee and biscuits, plus a complementary raffle. All are welcome to these meetings. Membership isn’t limited to members of St Gregory’s Church.
