Pentecost - The church's birthday
Pentecost is celebrated on the seventh Sunday or 50 days after Easter Sunday. A Christian holy day known also as Whit Sunday or Whitsun commemorating the decent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles and followers of Jesus Christ in Jerusalem according to Acts 2:1-31.
To celebrate the congregation lit candles to represent the coming of the flames and the children in Junior Church made their own fiery crowns.
April
Easter week
Services and celebrations took place in St Gregory's church over the Easter week. Following the solemn service on Good Friday , the children took part in an Easter egg hunt in the church grounds along with arts and crafts inside. Sunday saw the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus in the Sunday morning service.

Today in Junior Church the children learnt about how God gives us second chances. They designed pictures using fallen leaves and twigs, giving them a new purpose.

This day is known as the feast of the Presentation of the Lord Jesus and the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary and is celebrated 40 days after Christmas.
