Ash Wednesday Service of Ashing and Holy Communion
Ash Wednesday is a Christian holy day of prayer, fasting, and repentance. It marks the beginning of Lent, a season of 40 days (excluding Sundays) leading up to Easter Sunday. People are marked with the sign of the cross on their foreheads. Ash Wednesday takes its name from the Christian tradition of placing of ashes on the foreheads of worshippers and reciting a vow of repentance.

As the New Year begins, we thank God for the time and chances we receive. We pray that he helps us to be calm about things we can’t change, strong in altering what we can, and wise in knowing the difference. Amen
Saturday 27th January 2024
A joint away day for the benefice looking at children’s work. About thirty members of both St Gregory's and All Saints spent the day talking about how to further the work of bringing younger people into the church.
