The Revd Tom Mumford
The Revd Tom Mumford has been appointed Chaplain to support
the Bishop of Selby in her role as Lead Bishop for the Diocese of York.
Tom was Assistant Curate at St Gregory’s in Sudbury from 2019 to 2021, before taking up his current position
as Vicar of Ipswich Minster (formerly St Mary le Tower). He is moving in March.

Alpha course
Are you curious? Have any questions about faith, the Bible and Christianity?
Have a burning question you have always wanted to ask, but nowhere to ask it?
Well the new Alpha course starts soon.
Begins Friday 9th January 2026. 6.30 pm for a 6.45 pm sit down meal.
The Salvation Army Hall, Station Road, Sudbury.

ShoeBox Appeal 2025
St. Gregory’s Church and School took part in the Samaritan’s ShoeBox Appeal this autumn and both sent off a good amount of shoeboxes. All sent with our love, prayers and every blessing. This photo is of St. Gregory’s school and their boxes.
The Rectory Garden Party - 24th August 2025 at 3pm
This was held in the Rectory garden with members of All Saints' and St Gregory's churches, and the residents of Christopher Lane.
It was the turn of the churches to provide the savouries this year and the residents the sweets.
It was an enjoyable occasion, and the weather was kind!

You are invited to join us at our coffee morning.
There will be a Bring and Buy stall as well as a raffle.
All proceeds go to supporting the running of the church.
Kettle & Fish continues in Suffolk Road Church, normally on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month (10 am to 1.30 pm).
Suffolk Road Church is next to Aldi and only a short walk from North St & Girling St car parks.
Here you will find spiritual and physical refreshment. We offer:
· Tea, coffee, soup, toast, sandwiches, filled rolls, quiche, scones, cakes (depending on season)
· Opportunity to talk with friends
· Information about local churches and other Christian Activities
· ‘Listeners’ available to talk to
· Prayer corner

The Kettle & Fish at St Peters Church, Market Hill, Sudbury, was a Christian presence in the centre of the town, open most Thursdays since 2005, until St Peter’s closed for major refurbishment in September 2021.
St Gregory’s Fellowship
We meet in the Commonlands Room (Ground floor) at The Christopher Centre, Gainsborough Street on the third Thursday of the month. There will be tea, coffee and biscuits, plus a trading table and free raffle. Subscription £3.50 per meeting. Former members and new members are welcome.

Singles Lunch Club
Singles lunches take place usually on the last Sunday of the month. Open to all those church members who live on their own.
Different venues are chosen each month and transport can be arranged.
The group meets at the chosen venue usually for a 12.30pm lunch.

Prayer Breakfasts

Churches Together Prayer Breakfast meetings take place in various churches on Saturdays, from 8.00am to 9.30 am, for a light breakfast, a time of fellowship and a time for prayer. All are welcome.
